Girls. Friends. School. Life. That’s how I would summarize this show, I have no idea how the BETA word comes to play in relation to the show but meh, it’s too petty a matter to look into. No, I’ve not played the game and have no idea how it works but as for the show itself, it’s a light-hearted show that will put a smile on your face.
A TV anime adaptation of the Girlfriend (Kari) a mobile game where players can have girlfriends through playing the game.

What do I think of the show?
Storyline : Story? What story? There’s a scenario for each episode but the only “linked” (very loosely) episodes are 1 and 11. Put it simple, you can watch the show at random and won’t miss a thing because there’s no story or direction to begin with. What I like about this show is that each episode is very meaningful and highlights the beauty of friendship, each episode is comedic and what it did was it brought a smile on my face all the way. I truly enjoyed it the show.
Despite having only 12 episodes, Girl Friend Beta contains SO MANY CHARACTERS that there’s literally ZERO character development. Heck, they don’t appear on screen often enough for you to actually remember their names. Now I only hope that GoodSmile Company doesn’t release every single one of their characters, it’ll be extremely damaging to my pocket.
Animation : The animation is simplistic, as in it’s nice and simple. Nothing fancy, no outstanding animation whatsoever. You might notice that the eyes are colored quite like Nendoroid figurines from GoodSmile Company. Oh yeah and if you look at the gallery below, you’ll see it’s a bunch of group photos because there’s really A LOT of characters in this show.
Soundtrack : The soundtrack’s great, I love the tunes. They’re often soothing and memorable.
Show I watch this show? : If you’re looking for a great plot or have emphasis on action or character development, look elsewhere. This show is just for those who don’t mind moe stuff and want a light-hearted show about school girls going through challenges together.
